  • 1 Tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened and divided
  • ¼ cup Olive oil, plus more for greasing the pan and brushing
  • 3 and ¼ cups all purpose flour, plus more as needed
  • ½ cup yellow cornmeal
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 recipe of my Homemade Pizza Sauce
  • subheading: OPTIONAL TOPPINGS FOR BOTH PIZZAS:
  • Sliced or shredded mozzarella cheese (4 cups if using shredded)
  • Sliced Provolone Cheese
  • Pepperoni Slices
  • 2 Ib. Hot Italian Sausage, uncooked and torn into pieces
  • Parmesan Cheese, for topping
  • Other options: sautéed vegetables, tomatoes, chicken, sliced mushrooms, anchovies, cooked and crumbled bacon, sliced peppers
