English Muffins
Ingredients
  • 500 gr flour
  • 10 gr salt
  • 10 gr fresh yeast
  • ½ teaspoon of sugar
  • 60 gr butter
  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 ml water
  • a little oil to grease
Steps
  1. Mix the flour, salt, yeast and sugar. Add the milk and water, both slightly warm, little by little, and stir to form the dough. At the end we add the butter and knead until obtaining a smooth and homogeneous dough.
  2. Let it rest for 40 minutes or until the dough duplicate they size.
  3. On a floured surface, we stretch the dough and use a rolling pin until the dough is about 2 cm thick. With the help of a glass we cut the portions
  4. Let it rest other 30 minutes, covered with a cloth.
  5. Heat a pan, greased with a little oil (I use olive oil), at medium temperature, cook the portions for about 5 minutes on each side. Repeat until you finish cooking all the muffins.
