Ingredients
  • 6 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • ¾ C. flour
  • 4 ½ C. chicken broth
  • 4 C. cooked wild rice
  • ¾ C. finely grated carrots
  • ⅔ C. diced cubed ham (find this in the butcher area)
  • 6 Tbsp. slivered almonds
  • ¾ tsp. salt
  • 1 ½ to 2 C. half and half
  • 2 Tbsp. dry white wine (optional, but highly encouraged)
  • 4 to 8 baked pheasant breasts, depending on their size (about 2 cups when shredded)
