Momma’s Chicken Stew
Ingredients
  • 3 or 4 Boneless Chicken Breast (cut into strips)
  • ½ Stick Butter
  • ½ Cup (more or less) self-rising flour
  • ½ Cup milk (more milk and/or evaporated milk for thickness/richness)
Steps
  1. Put chicken in water and bring to a boil and then turn heat down to a simmer.
  2. Add ½ stick butter and let chicken simmer until really tender.
  3. Take ½ Cup (more or less) self-rising flour and mix with some of the chicken broth and ½ Cup milk and pour into chicken.
  4. Depending on how thick you want your stew ADD milk (evaporated milk for richness)
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
  6. Let simmer until stew is the consistency that you like.
