Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cup sugar
- 1 stick unsalted butter, room temp
- 3 large eggs
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp all purpose flour
- pinch of salt
- 1 cup of buttermilk
- 1ea 9" unbaked pie crust
Steps
- 1. Cream together the sugar and butter till well blended.
- 2. Beat in the eggs, 1 at a time, until the mixture is nice and smooth.
- 3. Add in the vanilla, salt and flour. 4. Beat in the buttermilk until well combined.
- 5. Place the pie shell on a baking sheet lined with foil (catches any overflow).
- 6. Fill the pie shell with the buttermilk mixture, just to the top of the shell.
- 7. Pour any remaining into an ungreased custard cup.
- 8. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour 10 minutes.
- 9. Remove from the oven and let set until almost cooled before serving.
- Store covered in the fridge
