Ingredients
- ¾ lb boneless beef top round steak
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 ½ tsp corn starch
- 6 green onions, cut into 1” pieces
- 1 Tbsp oil
- Nonstick vegetable spray coating
Steps
- Partially freeze beef, cut on the bias into thin bite-size strips
- In a small bowl stir together soy sauce, water, sugar, garlic, red pepper, and pepper. Add beef, toss to coat, cover. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
- Stir together water and soy sauce.
- Spray a wok or a large skillet with nonstick coating. Stir fry onions for 1 ½ minutes. Add asparagus stir fry for 1 ½ minutes or until tender crisp, remove from wok.
- Add oil to wok and heat to high temperature, add beef mixture. Stir fry 2 to 3 minutes till done. Push from center. Stir in cornstarch mixture at center of wok. Cook and stir until bubbly, cook one minute more.
- Add onion and asparagus, stir all to coat. Cook and stir for 1 minute more.
- Serve over rice.
