Ingredients
  • Tear bread into cubes and let sit a few hours or overnight for ‘stale’ bread.

  • 12 cups of soft bread cubes (about 18 slices of bread)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3 large stalks of celery (1 ½ cup chopped)
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
