  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup ricotta
  • 5 sweet Italian sausages (about 16-ounces), uncased
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch (optional)
  • 1 ½ cups vegetable oil (or enough to come up about ½-inch on the sides of your skillet)
  • 1 pound pasta, to serve (optional)
  • 4 cups your favorite sauce, to serve (optional)
