Slow Cooker Polish Bigos
Ingredients
  • 1 cup (250 ml) beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, peeled and chopped
  • 1 small head fresh cabbage, chopped
  • 1 pound (480 g) sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • ½ pound (240 g) smoked Polish sausages, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • ½ pound (240 g) bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup (250 ml) dry red wine
  • 2 bay leaves
  • salt anf freshly ground black pepper, to taste
