Old-Fashioned Dutch Beef Stew with Onions
Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 3 Onions
  • 3 Cloves
  • 2 tbsp Apple Butter
  • In Dutch, this is
  • 2 tbsp Distilled white vinegar
  • I use Heinz 5% acidity
  • Salt and Pepper

  • Cheesecloth
  • Optional, for putting the bay leaves and cloves in.
  • Oven safe heavy bottom pot with Lid
