Chicken Shawarma Rice
Ingredients
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs cut into cubes

  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 ½ teaspoon salt or to your liking
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • subheading: For the rice:
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • salt to your liking
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 3 cups hot water
  • subheading: For the Shawarma white sauce:
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves crushed
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
