Marinated Salad Beans
A tasty addition to any regular salad. It can be changed at will to suit whatever you have on hand.
Ingredients
  • 1 can of Cannellini beans
  •  
  • A small quantity of oil
  •  
  • A small quantity of white vinegar
  •  
  • A small quantity of "Everything Bagel Seasoning"
  •  
  • A large quantity of black pepper
Steps
  1. Rinse beans in a strainer under cold water until cleaned of can juice.
  2. Mix remaining ingredients in a non-reactive container.
  3. Add beans and gently stir to combine.
  4. Chill in fridge until ready to serve.
Notes
  • Glass is the preferred container because of the vinegar. Plastic would work in a pinch, but no metal.
  • This recipe is very good if made a couple of hours ahead of serving, but it is much better if made the day before.
  • I never drain the liquid when making my plate, but others do drain it.
  • I serve this with almost any leafy vegetable salad. I also like mine with less vinegar.
