My Mama Used to Make This Recipe with Some Bread On the Side and It Was Always Heavenly
Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef, browned and drained
  • ½ onion, diced
  • 2 bell peppers of any color, seeded and chopped
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato sauce
  • 3 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup cooked rice (alternatively you can use instant rice and put this in 30 mins before cook time is up)
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, for garnish (optional)
