Instant Pot Mongolian Beef & Broccoli
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ to 2 pounds beef, chuck steak or flank steak, sliced thin
  • ¼ t salt
  • ¼ t black pepper
  • subheading: Ingredients for sauce:
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ¼ cup soy sauce or Braggs liquid amino
  • ¼ packed brown sugar
  • 3 T honey
  • 1 t fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 t fresh ginger, minced (I used jarred ginger!)
  • 1 t sesame oil*
  • 1 t fish sauce*
  • 2 t rice vinegar*
  • ½ t dried cilantro
  • ½ t black pepper
  • ¼ to ½ t crushed red pepper, optional based on heat preference
  • 1 t Sambal Oelek chili paste, optional based on heat preference
  • 1 to 3 t sriracha, optional, based on heat preference

  • 2 cups broccoli

  • 1 T corn starch
  • 1 T water

  • scallions, optional, for garnish
  • toasted sesame seeds, optional, for garnish
