Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 ounces mushrooms, trimmed and sliced
  • 1-½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1-½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a skillet over high heat.  Add the mushrooms and ½ teaspoon sugar and saute until golden, about 3 minutes.  Add the broth and and soy sauce.  Mix cornstarch with ¼ cup water, stir into the skillet and boil till thickened, about 2 minutes.   Set aside.
