  • 1 cup warm water
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Pinch of cloves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 to 3 cups baby carrots
  • 1 pound potato gnocchi
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup fresh chopped parsley
