- 1 brown onion, halved and sliced

- ½ cup chicken stock (or chicken stock cube and water)
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- ⅓ cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon arrowroot, corn or tapioca starch for thickening
- To finish: 2 to 3 tablespoons chopped parsley
