Scalloped Oysters

Ingredients
  • 1 pint Oysters with liquor
  • 2 cups Saltine Cracker Crumbs
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ¾ cup half and half cream
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Black Pepper to taste
Steps
  1. Heat oven to 350°
  2. Drain Oysters reserving ¼ cup liquor.
  3. Combine cracker crumbs and butter. Spread ⅓ of crumbs in pan.
  4. Cover with ½ of the oysters and sprinkle with pepper.
  5. Layer ⅓ cracker crumbs and layer with remaining half of oysters and sprinkle with pepper.
  6. Combine cream, oyster liquor, salt and worcestershire.
  7. Pour cream mixture over oysters and top with remaining cracker crumbs.
  8. Bake @ 350° for 40 minutes.
  9. Serve warm.
Notes
  • This recipe is for an 8 x 8 pan. You can double this recipe and put in a 9 x 13 pan.
