Molletes
Bread spread with refried beans and melted cheese.
Ingredients
  • 4 Bolillo Rolls or Teleras cut in half lengthwise
  • Refried Beans
  • Oaxaca Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, or any other Melting Cheese
  •  
  • Crema Mexicana
Steps
  1. Place the bread on a baking sheet and broil the bread for about 2 minutes on each side. Once toasted, spread the inside of the bread with refried beans. Spring the Oaxaca cheese on top of the refried beans. Place them back in the broiler for another 2 minutes to melt the cheese. Garnish with Crema Mexicana.
Notes
  • Molletes are great for breakfast, appetizers, snacks, or a lunch side dish.
