Easy, Healthy Butter Chicken
Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • ¼ cup tomato paste
  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (I use non-fat)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala (see notes)
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¾ teaspoons black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt (I use non-fat)
  • ½ cup water
