Braised Turkey Legs (or wings)

Ingredients
  • 2 turkey legs or wings (about 3 to 3½ lbs)
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • ½ cup celery (diagonally sliced)
Steps
  1. Brown turkey in butter in large pan. Add garlic, onion, celery and carrots. Sauté until onions are soft. Cover with water and simmer for about 2 hour or until turkey is very tender.
  2. Place turkey and vegetables into a serving dish (thicken juice by adding 2 to 3 Tbsp flour which has been stirred into ¼ cup water). Heat and stir until it boils. Pour gravy over mashed potatoes and turkey and vegetables.
  3. salt and pepper to taste
