Ingredients

- ¼ tsp. salt
- ¼ tsp. baking powder
- 12 tbsp. (1 ½ sticks) very cold unsalted butter, cut into ½-in. cubes
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ½ tsp. vanilla extract
- subheading: For icing:
- 1 tbsp. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 tbsp. unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 ½ c. powdered sugar
- ¼ tsp. vanilla extract
- Zest from 1 lemon
- 1 to 2 tbsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
- Dried cranberries
- 15 lemon drop candies, crushed

- This recipe must be prepared in advance. To toast pecans, preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spread nuts on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring often. Remove from oven and cool.
