Almond Amaretto Poundcake
Ingredients
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour*
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 ¾ cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • ¼ cup amaretto
  • subheading: Amaretto Sauce:
  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup packed Dixie Crystals Light Brown Sugar
  • ½ cup Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • ⅓ cup half & half
  • 3 tablespoons amaretto
  • note: Spoon & Sweep method: Use a spoon to fill measuring cup with flour until required amount is obtained. Scooping measuring cup directly into flour bag will firmly pack flour resulting in too much flour required for recipe.
