  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ cup vegetable broth
  • ⅓ cup white wine, or additional broth
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons brined capers
  • 1 tablespoon non-dairy butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
