Copy Cat Asian Buffet Donuts

Ingredients
  • 1 can buttermilk biscuits
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Oil for frying
Steps
  1. In a large heavy bottomed pot, heat a few inches of oil to 300°.
  2. Remove the biscuits from the package and slice each one in halves or fourths. Roll them into ball shapes then drop them in the hot oil. You should be able to put 5 to 7 of them in the pot at one time. Fry until golden on one side then flip and fry until golden on the opposite side.
  3. Remove the donuts to a paper towel lined plate. Place the sugar in a bowl and then roll the warm donuts in the sugar.
  4. Repeat with remaining dough and eat em while they're warm!
Notes
  • The original recipe said to heat the oil to 350° but when I did that the dough burned on the outside before cooking on the inside.
