Easy Instant Pot Orange Chicken

Ingredients
  • 3 to 4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts cubed
  • ¼ cup water
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  •  
  • subheading: To thicken:
  • 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons water
  • Green onions
Steps
  1. In a bowl, mix the water, orange juice, soy sauce, ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger together
  2. Place chicken in the instant pot. Add sauce and mix together with a spoon
  3. Close the lid and pressure cook for 5 minutes
  4. Release the pressure and press the saute button
  5. subheading: To thicken sauce:
  6. In a small bowl mix water and cornstarch together
  7. Add to the chicken
  8. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until sauce thickens
  9. Remove from pot and serve
  10. OPTIONAL: Garnish with green onions
Notes
  • This was alright. Jon prefers breaded orange chicken but for a quick meal this was good.
