Ingredients
  • 1 pound dried pinto beans, rinsed & drained
  • or 1 pound soaked pinto beans overnight in 10 cups water and 10 tablespoons salt rinsed
  •  
  • 4 cups stock
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 jalapeño, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander, ground
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
Steps
  1. Add all ingredients to the pressure cooker
  2. For dried pintos pressure cook on high for 30 minutes and a 15 minute release
  3. For soaked pintos pressure cook for 15 minutes and a 15 minute release
  4. For refried beans, use an immersion blender and cook down to your chosen consistency/viscosity
