Ingredients
  • 4 Tablespoons salted butter
  • 6 medium potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 ½ teaspoons fresh thyme leaves
  • Dash of garlic (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg (fresh if you have it)
  • 1 - 48 oz chicken low sodium chicken broth or home frozen broth
  • 1 ½ cups half n half (this is a product that is half milk and half cream)
  • 1 to 2 Tablespoons of flour (use 1 if you like yours thin, or use 2 to thicken it a little more)
