Ingredients
  • thawed turkey
  • Stick of butter
  • Salt
  • Apron 4 c water
  • Turkey size cook n bag
  • 1 T flour (to keep bag from bursting)
Steps
  1. Preheat oven 350*
  2. Rinse turkey well inside and out
  3. Pat dry inside and out
  4. Rub outside well with butter
  5. Place chunk (approx 3 T) butter inside cavity
  6. Salt cavities and outside well
  7. Place flour in bag then shake
  8. Place turkey in bag then in pan (preferably with lid)
  9. Pour water into bag  (this will give you great broth for gravy) and seal with tie strip
  10. Place lid on top (it’s ok if it doesn’t fit, as Turkey bakes the lid will help hold heat
  11. Bake at 350* approx 13 minutes per pound or until internal temp reaches 160*
