Ingredients
  • 1 fluid ounce olive oil and canola oil mixed
  • Pizzaria Uno's dough for the 9" deep dish pizza
  • 6 to 8 ounces low fat mozzarella cheese, sliced. about 4 to 6 slices.  Must be lowfat mozzarella
  • 6 ounces raw Italian Sausage
  • 6 ounces Uno's Pizza sauce from the Uno's Deep Dish Pizza recipe
  • 1 ounce Parmesan cheese, grated
  • Dash of oregano, optional
  • 1 ½ cup sliced vegetables
  • 24 pepperoni slices
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Add the 1 ounce of olive oil and canola oil to the deep dish pizza pan, coating the bottom.
  3. Place dough, which has been resting in the refrigerator overnight,  in the center of the pan and with your fingers work the dough out to cover the bottom of the pan. Then with your thumbs on the outside of the pan, pinch the dough up the sides of the pan about 1 to 1 ½ inches.
  4. Cover the dough with the mozzarella slices. This must go first.
  5. Cover the mozzarella evenly with sausage. Must go second, if using.
  6. Layer on vegetables and pepperoni, if using.
  7. Top with the pizza sauce.
  8. You can squeeze the larger tomato pieces.
  9. Sprinkle with the parmesan cheese and oregano, if desired.
  10. My own touch, drizzle olive oil on top.
  11. Place the pizza on the rack and cook for 30 minutes.
  12. If the crust is golden and the cheese is gooey, the pizza is done.  If not, check again in 5 minute intervals.
  13. Cut into 4 pieces in the pan and serve with a spatula
Notes
  • can go up 25 degrees if the pizza crust is not getting golden.
