  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons (2 ounces) unsalted butter
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon (1 ounce) salted butter
  • 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) milk, whole or 2%
  • ¼ cup (2 ounces) packed brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ to ½ cup (2 to 4 ounces) confectioner's sugar
