Make pie crust, but roll to ½ the normal thickness. Bake & set aside.
Make pudding with 6 yolks, Pour into pie crust.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add sugar and cream of tartar, beat until shiny.
Layer white on pudding, covering completely.
Bake until top is browned.
