Mrs. Frazer's Mixed Spices
A 17th century mixed spice recipe from the cookbook, "The Practice of Cookery, Pastry, and Confectionery, by Mrs. Frazer."
Ingredients
  • 1 ounce black pepper
  • ½ ounce Jamaica pepper (Allspice)
  • 2 Nutmegs
  • ¼ ounce of Cloves
Steps
  1. Using a mortar & pestle, pound all ingredients into a powder.
  2. Store in an airtight container.
