Irish Cream Cake
Ingredients

  • 1 & ½ cups (180g) cake flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) Irish cream liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (118ml) milk
  • subheading: FOR THE FROSTING:
  • ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 & ½ cups (275g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted (Use up to 3 cups if you like your frosting sweeter.)
  • 3 tablespoons (45ml) Irish cream liqueur
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • chocolate sprinkles, chocolate curls, etc. for garnish
