  • 1 cup Chana Dal (Gram lentils)
  • 1 cup Palak (baby spinach) finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 to 3 Dried red chilies
  • 3 tbsp oil (I used olive oil)
  • ½ tsp jeera powdered (cumin)
  • 2 to 3 tsp dhaniya powdered (coriander)
  • ¼ tsp garam masala (optional, if want to make more masala rich chana dal)
  • ⅔ tsp turmeric powdered (haldi)
  • 4 cup water
  • Salt to taste
