  • 3 bay leaves
  • 9 cups chicken stock or canned low-sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley leaves
  • 1 tablespoon file powder
  • White Rice, recipe follows

  • 2 tablespoons salt

  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
