¼ cup sugar

½ cup pumpkin puree

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

¼ teaspoon ground cloves

¼ teaspoon ginger

1 egg

subheading: For the Pecan Layer:

⅔ cup dark corn syrup

⅔ cup sugar

2 eggs

1 Tablespoon melted butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup pecans
