Chocolate peppermint crunch cookies
Ingredients
  • 1 ¼  Cup flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼  Cup brown sugar
  • ½  Cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp Baking soda
  • ¼ tsp  baking powder
  • ½ cup  semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 candy canes
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup butter
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Line baking sheets with parchment paper
  3. Mix flour cocoa powder salt baking soda and baking powder in medium bowl set aside
  4. Add butter sugar brown sugar to bowl cream on low speed until smooth
  5. Add egg to sugar mixer mix well
  6. Add flour mixture and chocolate chips mix until sticky dough forms
  7. Chill in freezer for 10 minutes
  8. Crush candy canes into tiny pieces
  9. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough and roll in to  tight ball
  10. Lightly roll each double in crushed candycane set on baking sheet
  11. Big 12 minutes cookies will still look soft when done cool until firm
