Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large eggs
- 1 lb 95% lean ground beef
- 1 lb 99% lean ground turkey breast
- ⅔ cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 4 tablespoons light butter, I use Land O’Lakes light stick butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups reduced sodium beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Beef base, you can also use powdered bouillon or a bouillon cube, but I highly recommend BTB, it’s awesome
- ½ teaspoon Gravy Master seasoning & browning sauce or Kitchen Bouquet
