- 7 cups chicken broth
- salt to taste (optional)

- -Add black-eyed peas & broth to pot.
- -Cook on High Pressure (Manual or Pressure Cook function) for 12 minutes;
- -Do a 10 minute Natural Pressure Release then Quick Release any remaining pressure.
- -Remove lid once float valve drops.
- -Portion out & freeze if not serving right away.
Notes
- *Made in a 6qt Instant Pot
- *I used homemade chicken broth so I added a couple teaspoons of salt to mine.
- If you're using canned broth or bouillon that is high is sodium I would skip the added salt.
- *I got seven containers of black-eyed peas with about 12 oz of peas in each container.
- I use a slotted spoon to scoop them out into containers & freeze without broth.
- They freeze really well.
- *You can add additional seasoning and/or ham if you want.
- I left these plain on purpose so they can be used in other dishes as needed.
