Homemade Chili Seasoning
This is better than buying the little packets of chili seasoning in the store. You can adjust it to your taste.
Simply add it to your chunk, or ground meat and brown. Then add your tomatoes and simmer for a couple of hours. Add your beans and simmer for another half hour.

Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp approximately freshly ground pepper
Steps
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and stir to combine. Store in an air-tight container, away from heat and moisture for up to six months.
Notes
  • Makes enough for about 8 lbs. of meat.
  • Use about 2 ½ Tbsp. of the mix for each pound of meat. You can also add more seasoning (chili, cumin, onion & garlic powder) to up the taste if you like.
  • You can adjust the chili powder in the mix to taste.
