Vegan Pate
Ingredients
  • 3 small potatoes
  • ¼ cup carrots
  • ¼ cup white beans
  • ¼ cup onions - dehydrated + 2 tblsp
  • 2 tblsp Nutritional Yeast
  • 2 tblsp Tamari (or soy sauce)
  • ⅓ small beet
  • 1 tblsp Olive oil
  • 2 tblsp Pesto
  • ½ tsp liquid smoke - mesquite
  • ½ cup unbleached flour
  • 2 tblsp wheat germ flour
Steps
  1. Soak sunflower seeds overnight
  2. Boil potato & carrots till soft & tender, drain & set aside to cool
  3. Blend sunflower seeds + beet + 1 tblsp Olive oil into a paste
  4. ADD sunflower paste to potato + carrots + white beans + nutritional yeast + Tamari (or soy sauce) & blend
  5. ADD mixture to a bowl & add crushed garlic + pesto + flour + wheat germ + liquid smoke + 2 tblsp dehydrated onion & mix well
  6. Drizzled pesto & Tamari into container before adding patè & also on top mixed with olive oil & place in fridge overnight
  7. Next day remove from container & steam pate for 5 minutes in pressure cooked or 20 minutes in steamer
  8. Refridgerate
