  • 2 cups (420 g) ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ¼ cup fresh parsely, chopped

  • 4 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 cup pine nuts, almonds, or walnuts
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
