Cornbread
Ingredients
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • Scant ¼ cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ cup butter melted
  • Heaping 1 cup buttermilk
Steps
  1. Mix the dry, flour cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Mix the wet, eggs, melted butter, and buttermilk.
  3. Combine until just wet. Pour into hot cast iron skillet. bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
