Ingredients
  • 1kg ground beef
  • 2 med. onions diced small pieces
  • 2 small carrots grated
  • 2 bell pepper diced 1" pieces
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1 540 ml can tomatoes with green pepper, onion & celery
  • 1 650 ml jar spicy red pepper pasta sauce
  • ½ cup hot salsa
  • ¼ tsp. Italian
  • ½ tsp. spicy pepper mix
  • ¼ tsp. basil
  • ½ tsp. oregano
  • ½ Tsp. thyme
  • ½ tsp. garlic & peppers
  • ½ tsp. red pepper flakes
Steps
  1. subheading: In a large skillet:
  2. Brown beef, drain, remove to bowl
  3. Add olive oil and sauté onions, garlic, carrots and peppers for about 3 min.
  4. Return beef to pan, add the rest of the ingredients and turn heat down so sauce can simmer
  5. Simmer for at least two hours.  Simmer uncovered to thicken.  Watch moisture level and stir often
