Sweet Sour Tofu Veggie Stir Fry
Ingredients
  • subheading: For the Tofu:
  • 14 oz ( 397 g) extra firm or firm tofu, pressed for 15 minutes, then cubed
  • 2 tsp ( tsp) soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oil or use sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp rice flour
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • subheading: For the Sauce:
  • 1 tsp oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup ( 80 g) sliced red or white onion sliced into ¾ to 1 inch pieces
  • 1 cup ( 150 g) sliced red bell pepper sliced into ¾ to 1 inch pieces
  • ½ cup ( 75 g) sliced green bell pepper also sliced into ¾ to 1 inch pieces
  • ½ cup ( 50 g) chopped celery
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup ( 59.15 ml) maple syrup
  • 1 to 2 tbsp sugar optional, add if you like your sauce to be sweeter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed in ½ cup of water
