  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ tsp cornstarch ( or ⅛ teaspoon xanthan gum)
  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ cup sliced or chopped scallions as garnish
