Fresh Coconut Milk (Nautilus)

Ingredients
  • 1 Fresh Brown Coconut
Steps
  1. First milk: Add 1 cup of water to the scraped coconut and mix together. Using your hands, squash the coconut repeatedly to extract the juice and then re-mix together. After a few minutes of squeezing/mixing, do a final squeeze over a sieve and transfer the scraped coconut into a different bowl.
  2. Second milk: Add another cup of water to the scraped coconut and repeat the squeeze and mix technique mentioned above. After a few minutes, do a final squeeze over a sieve into the First squeeze bowl and this is your THICK MILK.
  3. Third milk: Add 1½ cups of water to the coconut scrapings and extract as much milk as you can. This makes THIN MILK.
