Servings: 8
Ingredients
  • 1 large Apple.
  • 1 Pillsbury Grands Crescents.
  • Nutmeg.
  • Cinnamon Sugar mix.
  • 4 oz Sprite, 7-up or Apple Juice.
  • subheading: Topping:
  • ¼ c Butter.
  • 2 tsp Sugar.
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon.
  • 1 tsp flour.
Steps
  1. Peel and slice a large apple into 8 wedges.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate in 8 triangle pieces.
  3. Use a sheet of parchment paper to lay the triangles on, 4 at a time.
  4. Place an apple wedge on the widest part of the dough.
  5. Sprinkle the apple and up the dough with cinnamon sugar and a touch of nutmeg.
  6. Starting at the apple end roll up the crescent.
  7. Place rolls seam side down in a round pan lined with parchment paper.
  8. Try to arrange the rolls so there is room between them.
  9. Carefully pour the sprite into the spaces between the rolls, try not to get it on the tops.
  10. In a small pan mix ¼ cup melted butter, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp flour.
  11. Heat until combined. Pour the butter mixture over the rolls.
  12. Use the "Bake" function and preheat to 300 degrees.*
  13. Use a tall trivet into the pot and sit the pan on top.
  14. Cook for 30 minutes, use a digital thermometer to check until it reaches 200 to 205 F in the middle. *
  15. Add 5 minute intervals until the dumplings are hot enough.
  16. Mine took 45 minutes.*
Notes
  • You can use the Air Fryer function, it is basically the same thing.
  • My apple was a large Gala apple cut into 8 pieces, it took more time for them to get cooked as they are very crisp.
  • Yours may need less time, start at 15 minutes if you use small slices.
