Ingredients
- 1 large Apple.
- 1 Pillsbury Grands Crescents.
- Nutmeg.
- Cinnamon Sugar mix.
- 4 oz Sprite, 7-up or Apple Juice.
- subheading: Topping:
- ¼ c Butter.
- 2 tsp Sugar.
- 1 tsp Cinnamon.
- 1 tsp flour.
Steps
- Peel and slice a large apple into 8 wedges.
- Unroll crescent dough and separate in 8 triangle pieces.
- Use a sheet of parchment paper to lay the triangles on, 4 at a time.
- Place an apple wedge on the widest part of the dough.
- Sprinkle the apple and up the dough with cinnamon sugar and a touch of nutmeg.
- Starting at the apple end roll up the crescent.
- Place rolls seam side down in a round pan lined with parchment paper.
- Try to arrange the rolls so there is room between them.
- Carefully pour the sprite into the spaces between the rolls, try not to get it on the tops.
- In a small pan mix ¼ cup melted butter, 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp flour.
- Heat until combined. Pour the butter mixture over the rolls.
- Use the "Bake" function and preheat to 300 degrees.*
- Use a tall trivet into the pot and sit the pan on top.
- Cook for 30 minutes, use a digital thermometer to check until it reaches 200 to 205 F in the middle. *
- Add 5 minute intervals until the dumplings are hot enough.
- Mine took 45 minutes.*
Notes
- You can use the Air Fryer function, it is basically the same thing.
- My apple was a large Gala apple cut into 8 pieces, it took more time for them to get cooked as they are very crisp.
- Yours may need less time, start at 15 minutes if you use small slices.
