1-2-3-4 Cake

1 cup butter, softened

4 large eggs

2 cups sugar

3 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup milk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375° F.

Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

Cream butter and sugar together thoroughly.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt.

Stir milk and vanilla together.

Stir the flour mixture into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk mixture.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with your favorite frosting.
